How "Marketers" Are Cheating Innocent People Online

I felt disgusted with how 'internet marketers' are cheating innocent people online.

This is the most disturbing and shocking video I've created, period.

Click the image below to watch.

(You have my permission to share this video on your website, blog or newsletter.)

I've even seen these fake screen shots with my own eyes. And on top of that, there are fake testimonials as well. The sad part is, some of them are 'designed' so well, you can't tell whether they're real or not. The best way is to contact Clickbank.com (if it's showing Clickbank sales) directly and ask them for confirmation.

You'll also be helping others from becoming a victim because if Clickbank finds out that they're fake, I think they'll take action. I know they'll probably check because they've asked me to reveal my Clickbank account ID whenever I show my Clickbank sales screen shot.

At the same time, you can also tell if the marketer is a liar when you go through the product purchased. For instance, the screen shot might shows $1,000 a day income but when you go through the product, it does not show any solid evidence that this can work but just crappy theories. That is why, I've only released a few products each year because the strategies are being tested first to make sure that they'll work.

If you have any comment or feedback, please leave your Comment below.

Thanks,

Patric Chan

Great Video!

Not that I want to manufacture pages like that but i can see how whatever tool they are using is a pretty neat tool. I was thinking of how it could help create a site. Is that a plugin or something?

Hi Patric

Shocking video indeed. Many thanks for the heads up on this. I think everyone out there should see this.

Gives us decent hard working marketers a harder task. But credibility wins out in the end.

Hi Patric,

There's a great video.

I do feel suspicious when they are showing their income screen shot because I know it can be easily done with Photoshop.

But showing as a video screen shot, I've never seen one yet... and I'll be caught if not you showing this video.

Thanks a bunch again, Patric. You're always the real deal! :)

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the Comments.

I'm sorry, I can't provide the 'pluggin' because I do not have the authority to do so. There are many things that the public does not know, we have all kinds of tools from tracking to black hat methods.

Rangoo,

Thanks. It is a risk and I might end up having enemies. Honestly, it took me a long time to decide this - to show this video to the public.

Hi Jonathan,

The good guys will last. :-)

Hi Soo,

You're welcome. We've been in this business very long and there are a lot of things we do behind the scene and outside of the IM niche. :-)

Thanks

Hi Patric
these Rats must be flushed out of the woodwork and allow us who want to and strive to offer and provide others with real deal goods to do so with out us being regarded in the same basket as these scammers
for example how many times have you had every one whose list you are subcribed to sending you something to buy
and when you try tosell it find that they are giving it away for free
what I tend to do now is take the product name or what it does and put that in the browser to see if it is already on offer for free or if I can get simmilar ones for free and 9 times out of 10 I can achieve getting the product for free
if I cant then I just wait until these start to offer the item for free simple isnt it
Dont waste your money CHECK CHECK CHECK around first
kindest regards to you and all of your readers

Hi Patric,

I applaud your courage, and appreciate your honesty. I have found many good and honest marketers in the short time I have been online. However, I have had my share of bad experiences with scammers as well. I have known about some of the techniques that these people are bringing from outside of IM niches.
Unfortunately with today's economic struggles, there are many victims to these scams because they are desperate for money too soon. It does take time to provide value and honesty. I want to be true and help others, not take advantage of them.

Thank you!
Paul

You have done a good job. It is necessary that everyone, particularly newbies, are aware about this. I, for one, never believe screen-shots. Whenever I go through sales letters I just skip these so called testimonicals/screen-shots. I recently came across another type of Internet fraud. A man claiming to be a Google professional sold me $10 book. According to the sales letter, I was supposed to receive it by shipping only as it contained 3 DVDs. So I gave away my address and paid by credit card giving my address. However, I received a download link for the book and a mail stating that the money for the book will be adjusted against shipping the DVDs and at the end of the month I shall be billed $297 or $197 if I did not return the package without damage within 30 days (no such thing was mentioned in sales letter)!. Beware, there are reputed marketers too indulging in unethical marketing. One such Internet criminal made tall claims about his software in sales letter but most of them were untrue. Even after one full year his claims were never fulfilled (though he said he was adding them). These days I am very careful about from who I buy things. Because of a handful of Internet fraudsters others have to suffer.

At the end of your video, it takes you to another sales page "Continuity blue print"; was this by design? or is it that you are not aware of it?
If it was by design are you promoting that stuff or are you hinting to corroborate your message?
Thanks.

To Respond to Jo's comments. Be careful of subscriptions that are not absolutely clear up front. If you can tell? A trick that goes back in time is the free sign up or 30 test trial. Or, 1 dollar sigh up now? Then you get whacked with monthly payments and cancelling is like pulling teeth.

Patric and other decent IM-ers suffer because of these rip off artists. Always be careful and buy after careful research. The good guys are out here, however so are the crooks...sad
Thanks Patric

I had attempted to prove this to some of my friends
a little over a year ago. This video
should prove it once and for all!

One thing I have learned is if you do not
recognize the marketer showing all these outragous
income claims, do a search for them.

An honest marketer will be found along with
any reviews about them.
Be SMART, not SCAMMED!!

Thanks again Patric.
Excellent video as usual!

Great vid, Patrick. I already knew about that stuff, but I know where there are some newbies I'll send to your blog to watch the vid.

Regarding the comments by Jo and Robert about forced continuity schemes:

PayPal makes it easy to unsubscribe from anything. For that reason, many of the sneaky operators don't offer a PayPal option. Instead, they make you jump through hoops of fire to unsubscribe or ignore your attempts altogether.

Bottom line: If someone is offering a "free" or "cheap" trial and doesn't let you use PayPal, your alarm siren should start shrieking.

Hit your back button and get out of there or proceed at your peril.

Patric,

thank you for having the integrity to bring out in the open what many have suspected or hinted at. I pretty much had just been skipping over these "proofs" of income in salesletters but not totally doubting them because I couldn't figure out how they could fake them. Now that the cat's out of the bag, I won't even consider any offer that includes shots of supposed income. Even so, just out of curiosity, I'd also like to know how you could tell right away that they were fake.

As long as your customers stick with you, don't be concerned about your status with other marketers!! Nice guys do win.

Hi Patric,
Thanks for bringing this problem to the table. It all comes down to ethics, and to our own responsibility.
Yes, scams and lies are many on the Internet, and they are not a good thing for us as marketers.
But more important is to teach people how to make the difference between a real and a fake.
Keep up the good work,

Hi Patric. Cassandra again. I just went to some sites that showed Clickbank statement shots. These were some products that I was going to purchase before I saw your video. Lo and Behold, the bar graph showing the income looked bogus! Some of the amounts were obviously different but the graph was in the exact same place for both. What an eye opener! Needless to say, I won't be making that purchase. Tnanks again.

Of course it is expected that unscrupulous marketers will fake screenshots and anything that will make people part with their money.

Even if the screenshots are real I always ask this myself this question:

Did the seller make the money as a direct result of the product they are trying to sell to you?

In many cases I doubt that very much.

12:56 PM

Hi Patric,

I have been following you for along time. I have given up many
viewings of new offers as I'm tired of the pages of "proof" that I have a feeling could be about anything but the issue they are trying to prove. I also no longer bother with any $1 item, or Free CDs that I only pay the shipping, as all they want is my credit card # and tel# to call and tell me to
'leverage' to be mentored by them.
Thank you so much for confirming that what I've felt about these
"honest" offers really were fakes.

Developing trust among your customers is important and it is not easy to do especially when you are new. And customers always look for proof of your sales. That's why those fake coming out.

Many thanks for your sharing.
