New Place To Advertise

Do you know where do most marketers get their traffic from?

The most preferred one will be joint ventures- that would be my preference. However, the problem with this is, you're not in 'control' because it depends on others and it's always like asking for favors. And doing JV is not easy for new players. Besides, it'll be complicated if you don't have a good sales converting product.

When it comes to online advertising, most will think of Google Adwords-- there are actually a lot more ways to advertise o the internet.

I'm going to test out advertising through an advertising site at www.zango.com for my games and women niche sites.

Zango.com provides all kind of free stuff (mostly entertainment) and it integrates your ad in it.

The cool part about this is the creativity on how to reach your prospect. They have this, Zango Toolbar Buttons advertising method that's worth checking out at http://adservices.zango.com/Advertise/DigitalSolutions.aspx.

There's actually another way for you to get traffic from this site for free. Instead of becoming the advertiser, you can also contribute your free stuff. The only thing is, I think it has to be related to what they're offering like entertaing videos, games, etc.

And lastly, you can publish the content from zango.com to generate income. Pretty cool, eh? Giving away free stuff/content and get paid.

If you've find value in these tips, please leave a Comment or feedback? Needless to say, I will definitely appreciate it because I read all Comments personally and gotten the chance to know you at the same time.

Thanks,

Patric

Patric,

this was one of the most prolific ad-, mal- and spyware systems on the planet and they do not provide great controls to prohibit the addition of programs which may contain any or all of the above.

They are trying to clean up their act, but its frought with peril still.

best to be careful and make sure your readers have the latest and greatest (anti-"everything"-ware) protection before using this system.

Nothing Dire like spreading the plague, but unprotected systems are prone to abuse.

best,
chris

Hi Patric,

There is just too big of a market in video and games to ignore this. I will find a way to incorporate Zango in my article submissions and blog post. I find myself often going to play a quick game of chess on a games site and I know it can be addicting. I always observe the rotation ads and notice which ones are most effective. I don't know exactly how I will use this resource but I know I will. One thing I know, when I hear the word "video" I'm interested!

That is my focus on my new free Money Mingle Guide.

Thanks for the Heads up.

hey guys,

thanks for the comments. we have mix opinions on this advertising method and the only way to find out whether it works or not is through testing.

there's no good or bad but depends on how a marketer take advantage on it. I mean, there are people who make a lot of money from Google Adwords advertising while some make lost.

One thing for sure - I'll be spending more time to evaluate paid advertising methods.

Cheers

Patric

Hi Patric:

Sounds like a great find...other than the spyware comments above...but I was unable to find anything related to you saying:
"And lastly, you can publish the content from zango.com to generate income. Pretty cool, eh? Giving away free stuff/content and get paid."

I'm ALL in on that...but it is nowhere on their site that I could find?

I "finally" found it...it takes you to a different url though
http://www.zangocash.com/

Since I don't browse with a full screen browser, I missed it hiding on the top right. :-(

Hi Patric,

How do you feel about the "adware" and "malware" problems associated with Zango?

Also, how about the adult section in Zango advertisers...?

What is your take on how to advertise and use this portal?

Zango is an online media company that gives people free access to a huge library of games, videos, emoticons, tools and utilities. In return for this free content, Zango users agree up front to view a limited amount of targeted advertising.

Zango ads are delivers a limited number of relevant ads when consumers are actively searching or browsing online.

But, mostly have been classified as a Malware company.

Let me know... your point of view.

Very interesting twist on the advertising/marketing side of business. I am going to pass this on to the members of our new business to business networking portal.

Patric and everyone else be careful.
One of the nastiest malware programs
I ever had on a computer came from Zango. No anti-virus or spyware program available at the time could remove it. It had to be manually removed per a 3 page instruction sheet in the exact order given on the sheet. It took 2 1/2 frustrating hours out of my life that I'll never forget.
