Sunday Email Part 28
I just finished this week's Sunday Email Part 28 but it's 4-page long. So instead of posting it on the blog, I've prepared it as a nice PDF report that you can download for free.
This weeks rants titles include:
1. No Wonder You Get Nothing Completed
2. Don't Be Cheated
I like to hear your opinion of what are the programs you've benefited and also, those that have wasted your money and time in the Comments below.
If you have been reading the "Sunday Email" series, I'll always ask for your favor to leave a Comment if you find value of what you've read. It'll be most appreciated because I read all of them personally. (smile)
And yeah, sometimes it upsets the reader because the truth can be... hurtful.

Hey Patric,
Good article - I agree - do not take on too many projects at once especially if you do not have experience.
I usually have several projects going on at the same time but the key is we have teams to manage and run them all.
So I basically oversee things and get everyone going in the right direction etc.
I also Never buy 'How To' books from people who actually haven't walked the talk. I find those pretty insulting as well.
Good to call that one out about the make $1million on CB. :)
If they actually were doing it I surely would buy it also but I'm not into theories like you mentioned.
Thanks for the good articles you always write
Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for posting your comment. Your advice is definitely important - overseeing and making sure it's going on plan but not multi-tasking.
Yeah, sometimes, it's kinda insulting by claiming the income generated that's not the truth.:-)
Cheers,
Patric

Hello Patric.
This is a rant not about an e-book costing a few dollars but about mentoring in general costing thousands of dollars.
Anyone thinking about charting this course should be very careful of the choppy waters there are everywhere. My experience has not been at all happy and I would recommend anyone thinking about spending their hard earned money to check extremely carefully before parting with a single cent.
Don't be overwhelmed by reputations and overblown testimonials, make enquiries in forums and search out real people with real experience, if you can't find any then don't bother and most of all in your words, dont fall victim.
Hi Patric,
Thanks a lot for this sunday report.
Good report. I agree. If you're working for your self and you don't have a team, than just FOCUS on one or maybe two simular projects. At the end of the day you always make more money if you FOCUS on just one thing than to try to do everything. I can tell that from my own experiences.
I my self purchased also a lot of these "how to" ebooks, but they nearly all tell the same. And the most do really only tell you the theoretic things which are not really working that great.
I like your nichemarketing2.0 system which was a great investment for me and I also like the products from jeremy gislason, simon hodgkinson and alex goad. They all provided a lot of great advice which is working for me every day with my online business.
Since I FOCUS on these systems and advices I started to make a real income online and I could quit my day job.
So I also can recommend to every one: FOCUS on one thing only and TAKE ACTION.
Cheers,
Daniel
While it's true that many people take on too many unrelated projects, it's also hard to stay focused on one project. You're trying to write a sales letter when you get an email saying buy this product so you can build your list starting now - only available today.
Before you've downloaded, the next email says - you have to be doing web 2.0 or you're gonna die - get it before midnight.
OK, maybe I can work on the email one tonight, the web 2.0 tomorrow, and get back to writing my sales letter...
but the next email comes and says - video is taking the NET by storm. Don't get left behind...
You know you need to do all of these things eventually, but all these high pressure buy it today gurus will only sell at a reasonable price for a day - sometimes only hours.
And the membership sites? Buy this today for $1 and be automatically subscribed. How many monthly memberships can one person join? One in particular, you can't cancel if your life depended on it. The emails bounce, the call center in India never processes the request. Good luck with this guy. If the name Nick Marks comes up - run.
Very few can actually show that their students have actually made money. And those are the programs most can't afford -
I miss the old days when people really helped each other and weren't so concerned about buying their 6th car. How many millions do you need to make on the backs of people struggling to pay their bills and eat?
I think the whole internet marketing industry has gotten really distasteful.
Just a rant of my own...
Carole
Hi Patric,
I totally agree with what you mention in the ebook. We should always focus on one project until its success. Newbies tend to do as many projects as possible because they do not know which one is feasible for making real money online.
Besides, there are too many people calling themselves gurus and trying to reap dollars by selling ebooks to newbies. It is true that many internet marketers who teach people how to make money, do not make money online, at least not in other niches besides the make money niche. That is why I always respect true Internet marketers who have made money from other non-make money niches.
I am sorry to ask but I do not know whether you have made money from any other niches online. So I still do not have full confidence in you. In fact, I was one of those newbies and now I do not easily believe any other Internet Marketers.
Just my suggestion, you should try Wordpress as your blogging platform, instead of using the free blogger service. Wordpress is more sophisticated and advanced compared to blogger.
Regard,
Sheng Loong.
Thanks to Carole for her warning about Nick Marks.
And for making the point that some subscriptions are hard to cancel.
I once tried to cancel a subscription with Perry Marshall, a respected Adwords/PPC trainer. After a great deal of clicking on his links and searching for his name in Google, etc., I finished up having to phone him personally (from Australia) to get the monthly payment cancelled. That left a really bad taste in my mouth.
So before you sign up for any subscription, look into the question of 'how do I cancel this subscription?'.
Gary
Hi Brian,
Thanks for posting your comment. The best testimonials are normally from the clients who have gotten result, not some over-glorified testimonials of gurus.
Hi Daniel,
You're welcome and thank-you for your compliment on Niche Marketing 2.0 (tm) System. Stay focus and you'll see the results soon.
Hey Carole,
It's fine to rant once in a while. It's healthy. :-) But once that's done, we'll go back to our focus of building our internet business. That's the MAIN difference of a successful person and one who just whines.
Hi Sheng Loong,
Thanks for postings. Do read www.nichemarketing2.com/earlybirds.hml about niche marketing that I've done in the past.
I've started blogging since 2004, and it'll not be possible for me to import years of my content if I wanted to change to Wordpress. Also, I'll probably won't require most of the features in Wordpress especially search engine optimize pages because I'm not competing in the internet marketing niche. :-)
Hi Gary,
I can't give my comment for Nick or Perry because I haven't had that kind of experience. However, it's hard to conclude how good or bad of a marketer from one experience because there might be some glitches at that time. Again, I can't side anyone but that's just my opinion. But of course, if MOST PEOPLE are facing the same problem, than it becomes a fact and no longer an assumption.

Hi Patric
This post is so funny because it is so true.
One reason why people try to accomplish many tasks instead of one is because they can't wait for the results.
With so many pitches on how you can make money in 24 hours, 7 days etc...can you blame people for not working consistently on just one project?
Also, those who are trying to accomplish many things in a short period of time are in it for the quick bucks instead of treating it as a long term business that requires some maintenance.
Again, can you blame them when these gurus claimed that money will come in autopilot 24/7 once you set it up?
I guess people need to understand that there is no free lunch in this world. If you are not willing to pay, then you must be willing to spend time. Something just got to go. You just can't have your cake and eat it too ;)
