Sunday Email Part 15

Re: What Am I Doing Lately

I've been lazy. No, I've been working hard. Actually, it depends on which angle you’re looking at. I haven't been 'aggressively' marketing in the internet marketing niche and there's a reason to it. In fact, if you see any internet marketers being quiet for while, that’s a sign that they're either chilling out or working twice harder.

Pay attention to what you're doing-- are you spending more time learning, researching or doing? They all should be balanced. You can't keep on doing if you don't know whether you're doing it correctly. Trying to figure out on your own is the WORST strategy to achieve success. Vice versa, you can't just be learning and not doing because nothing can be achieved without action.

The thing that's keeping me busy is the restructuring process of my whole business from in all kind of perspective.

Let's start with the internet marketing niche. I've stopped taking any new one-on-one coaching clients or business consultations. As a matter of fact, I've actually terminated most of my existing clients that paid me good money. It's not that I don't want new business or playing hard to get, but I have no choice. If you sorta think I'm showing off in any way, stop reading because you won't get the value out of it.

I'm doing this because I'm going to build a business that will have a 'controlled' growth and doesn't require my personal time or attention. It sounds ideal. Well, because it should be. Just think—would you rather make $10K charging someone for one-on-one coaching or sell 100 copies of $100 product of your own?

Doesn't take a genius to answer that. From July onwards, all of my new businesses are created based on this concept-- "Can I still use the same amount of time and yet make more money?" If this is possible, all I need to do is focus on marketing. If more money is needed, just spend more time marketing.

I do make some financial lost by declining new clients and terminating existing ones. But that's just a short term lost which will give me the vacuum for building my ideal business model in the future.

Here's the thing--

Are you focusing on making money today or building income streams for tomorrow? If it's about making money today, you don't even need to build any businesses. Just buy some Google Adwords and send the traffic to affiliate programs to make a quick income. But is that going to secure your income for tomorrow?

However, I'm a business person and I'm not going to turn money away. Money is money. There's one way how my clients can still access my personal time and attention for a very affordable price. Wait. It's THE ONLY way. I have a membership called the Chan Do Charter Membership. Secure your spot before all are taken at
www.sundayemail.com/chartered.html

The other thing that I'll be doing is I'll be speaking more frequently in seminars in 2007. Not too sure about 2008 yet. I've already agreed to speak in 7 seminars in United States, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

As I'm prearing this post, I'm in the airport flying to Ohio, US to speak at another internet marketing seminar.

Speaking at events can help your business grow leaps and bounds, especially in the internet marketing niche. If you want to rub shoulders with the big players in the industry like Jim Edwards, Shawn Casey, Ewen Chia, Stephen Pierce, Mike Filsaime, Russell Brunson, Armand Morin, Mark Joyner, Matt Bacak, Jo Han Mok, Yanik Silver, etc this is a surefire way to achieve your goal.

The other thing that I want to do before the end of 2007 is to do what I like and passionate about. And it doesn’t have to do with internet marketing or online business.

I think you should plan that out. And make it a priority. Make it a motivation for you to work 'harder' to create profitable online businesses so that it takes care of your bills while you pursue what you love to do in life.

If you have been reading the "Sunday Email" series, I'll always ask for your favor to leave a Comment if you find value of what you've read. It'll be most appreciated because I read all of them personally. (smile)

Hi Patrick,

This post makes me glad to be a chartered member. And it also focuses on a question I'll have for our next coaching call. How can I shape my business so it doesn't require my personal time or attention.

You seem like a nice guy Patrick, I am sure you are.

There are many good marketers out there, I have read Shawn Caseys Mining Gold. I have Mike Filsaimes 7 Figure Code. I have read and studied many gurus. I have several sites working, and have made some money however looking to do more and be on autopilot.

The funny thing nobody really gets into the nuts and bolts of building a list. They simply say send this email letter to your list, or have your autoresponder set to deliver a helpful, educational, sales letter once a week.

Sure if I have a large list. 100,000 or more I could make money tommorow affiliate or otherwise.

I think many who started have been helped by other gurus. Maybe I beieve you might have been helped by Ewen. I remember a joint venture you did with him awhile back. Se if you venture with a guru, and he emails his madssive list of millions of subscribers, and you deliver a cool sales letter with an opt in page, Voila instant list. Then you can grow this list anyway you like through traditional marketing and just get bigger and bigger

Mike says he got started by safelists. Shawn says safelists are a joke and he would never use them. They are just marketers trying to sell their products to other marketers. They are the only people who opt in, create an email account they never read for the thousands of emails they will receive from other marketers, so they can email blast to these same marketers. Marketser blastin marketers. The message never is read by anybody. Which means no sales. Should be marketers blasting target markets.

So to gain momentum it seems really that you need a little luck with a well known guru to do a joint venture to get off the ground. There is the old fashioned way of PPC sending prospects to an opt in page offering them somthing free and building your list slowly. That can be big $'s. Or you can make a killer site, do SEO for a year, and get some good hits organically.

There enlies the problem - no list. You mention PPC adwords for affiliate products. However come on really, can you make any money with the cost of PPC and the low commissions that affiliate marketing can offer. If you could we could all "get by" with this strategy, making money while we are building our real business

See here the fat cat gets fatter, and the little marketing guy gets crunched. There is little information about the truth being told. Keeping wanna be internet marketers buying, spending $'s, coming back for more over and over again. See the information is actually good, but the truth of success doesn't exist. If a new marketer ever knew he needed a brilliant JV partner a friend to really help him achieve success, they may never buy another product. The feeding frenzy would be over.

I believe this is the truth. If so let me be your next JV partner, and we can do a book together about the real truth of internet marketing. This would sell millions. In a world of lies the truth rings loud. I will share this information and my sites with you offline. I have a team of Internet marketers and builders in Pakistan and are very effective in flash, and SEO.

Let the truth be known, you will be rich forever.

What do you like to do/are passionate about that has nothing to do with online marketing that you want to do before the end of 2007?

Sorry if it is prying but sometimes I am curious about people's hobbies/fun things they like to do outside their job. It seems like this has gotten really important for you, to want to re-focus your whole approach so you can do more of it.

Does it mean you will be stopping your sunday emails? I agree that it's a wonderful motivation to work harder on internet marketing now, to have the freedom to do what you're passionate about in the future, it is possibly the best and most fulfilling goal one could have. (it's my goal too!) Good luck at your speeches!

You are mention making money as if this is the most normal thing to do.

Why are you making all this money (and more)?

Did you ever stop and think about it?

Surely you have so much passive income that you don't need to make more money to live a great life.

Then why do you keep making more money?

Are you bored? Maybe you haven't found your life's purpose yet?

Think about it...
